Cromship

A cromship is literally a shallow-going Dutch rowboat which, among other things, was used by the English fleet to attack the Spanish Armada in 1588, as depicted above in the book Tudor England by Peter Brimacombe (Pitkin, 2004).

The cromship also represents the nimble navigation capabilities of the novice investigator, when attacking a clinical research problem.

The Cromship Network is an international network for training of physician/scientists. It is an acronym for Clinical Research Odyssey Mentorship. The framework of the Cromship Network has existed informally since the late 1960's, but was first formalized in the fall of 2013 by physician/scientists Martin Ugander, now Professor at the University of Sydney, Australia, and the late Professor Galen Wagner of Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, USA.
